Location
Beach Park Cottage is a beautiful modern Irish holiday cottage situated in the popular holiday village of Downings. The cottage is furnished to the highest standards and provides a true home from home. The cottage is ideally situated - the fantastic Rosapenna Golf Club and the fabulous Tranmore Strand are just minutes away. This holiday cottage can accomodate up to 7 people with a downstairs toilet upstairs bathroom and upstairs bedroom with bathroom en-suite. There is a decked area at the rear (a lovely sun-trap) which is a great place to enjoy a drink and unwind.
Local Activities - the village of Downings is a very popular Irish tourist resort and fishing port with lively pubs and night life. It is situated in the beautiful Rosguil Peninsula. There is an abundance of golden sandy beaches and many water based activities in the Downings area including windsurfing, deep sea diving, sea angling and boat charters. There is also horse riding and hill walking. The Magherabeg Leisure Centre is located in Downings and features a swimming pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and gym.
Beach Park Cottage is in an ideal location to tour the magnificant scenery of North Donegal - just on your doorstep your have the famous "Atlantic Drive" - a scenic drive starting in Downings and continuing around the Rosguil Peninsula. There is also the spectacular Lough Salt Drive. A little further afield you can avail of the beautiful and varied coastal landscapes in areas such as the Bloody Foreland, Horn Head, the Rosses and the Fanad Peninsula. Moving inland you have the majestic and unspoilt Donegal Highlands which include the magnificent Glenveagh National Park.
